Happy Howliday!

“By the pricking of my thumbs, Something wicked this way comes.” -William Shakespeare, Macbeth
Enjoy some images of Halloween in the north country, as students and staff get into the Spirit of things...

...and pumpkins meet their inevitable fate

“From ghosties and ghoulies, And long-leggety beasties, And things that go bump in the night, Good Lord deliver us.”
-Old Scottish Prayer

looks fun!!! Too bad we weren't allowed to do anything--middle school kids just can't handle it around here.

The pumpkin contest takes place every year.

Costumes are impromptu - the tech teacher with the "wound" is very quiet and reserved, so he probably shocked his students with his creativity.

Alas, the elementary parades are a thing of the past, since safety concerns have overridden tradition.

We had nine trick or treaters last year, none this year. Old customs are fading fast.

(Had to lock up the leftover candy so my husband doesn't die of sugar shock!)
