They played a snippet of the Davey
Crockett theme song today and I had a flashback of me playing the 45 on my turntable when I was a kid. I think I even had the coonskin cap!

Fess Parker was a "big" man in every sense of the word.

When we visited his winery in California, my husband and I were as giddy as kids. I even bought a little coonskin wine bottle topper.

Another childhood hero strides off into the sunset.
